Club Membership Classifications

Blade & Edge Memberships Categories & Benefits for 2023-24 Season

Membership with the U.S. Figure Skating Association
A subscription to SKATING magazine (one per household)
Participation in Club events and social functions

Elite – Competitive Team Membership fee (1st skater): $625.00 2023-24 Season

BE Elite – Competitive Team will consist of BE skaters that love to compete. They thrive from the experience of competing outside of the Midwest and embrace being judged by judges from other regions. “Elite” skaters will travel as a “Team” as well as develop lifelong friendships.
Skaters can compete in either Excel Series, Championship Series, Adult Nationals or State Games of America.
- Elite Competitive Team requirements:
  - Skaters are required to compete at two out-of-town competitions. (Competitions set by director
    and competitive coaching staff)
  - Skaters are required to compete in one local Blade & Edge Sponsored competition. (Winterfest,
    Spring Fling, Autumn Classic)
Elite skaters/parents must volunteer for 15 hours of Blade & Edge sponsored events or optional\
buyout of $200.00.
Elite Competitive Team membership includes:
- One skater under 18 years of age and one parent.
- Elite Team Jacket and Warmup pants.
- Coaches travel expenses for two out of town competition
  set by director and competitive coaching staff.
- $10.00 per test discount on Blade & Edge sponsored test sessions.
- Season Patch for Elite Team Jacket.
- Annual team building outing.
Elite skaters/family are responsible for competition registration fees, practice ice fees, personal travel expenses, coaches event(s) fees and coaches practice ice fees.
This membership can be made in 2 payments. 1st payment through Entryeeze $325.00 and the 2nd payment by September 1, 2023, to Blade & Edge via Venmo, check or cash.

Additional Skater: $525.00 in the same family
Additional Parent: $25.00

Gold – Family Membership fee: $150.00 2023-24 Season

One skater under the age of 18 and one parent or legal guardian.
Gold – Family membership is only available for BE home club members.
Gold – Family Requirements:
- Gold – Family skaters/parents must volunteer for 10 hours of Blade & Edge sponsored events or optional buyout of $100.00.

Additional Skater: $25.00 in the same family
Additional Parent: $25.00

Silver – 2nd Year Membership fee: $100.00 2023-24 Season

One skater under the age of 18 and one parent or legal guardian.
Silver – 2nd Year membership is only available for BE home club members.
Silver – 2nd Year Requirements:
- Silver – Family skaters/parents must volunteer for 5 hours of Blade & Edge sponsored events or optional buyout of $50.00.

Additional Skater: $25.00 in the same family
Additional Parent: $25.00

Bronze – 1st Year Membership fee: $55.00 2023-24 Season

One skater under the age of 18 and one parent or legal guardian.
Bronze – 1st Year membership is only available for BE home club members.

Additional Skater: $25.00 in the same family
Additional Parent: $25.00

Individual Membership fee: $140.00 2023-24 Season

Skaters who are at least 18 years of age as of June 1st of the membership year.
Individual Requirements:
- Individual must volunteer for 10 hours of Blade & Edge sponsored events or optional buyout of
  $100.00.
- Collegiate Membership fee: $100.00 2023-24 Season
  Skaters are in college, may only be used once, and are good for 4 years.

Professional Membership fee: $65.00 2023-24 Season

This membership is for people who are coaches or professionals in figure skating. Must also be a member in good standing of PSA and registered with USFS for background check.

Associate/Non-Home Club Membership fee: $30.00 2023-24 Season

This membership is for those whose primary affiliation is with another USFS club. This membership does not have eligibility to vote.
